Progressive Fitness Training (PFT)

pictureFMA's PFT program is a true science based approach focusing on movement quality rather than individual body parts. With movement as the focus, we can properly prescribe and progress clients accordingly by improving their fitness level without injury or overtraining. Additionally, by training all the foundational movements (pushing, pulling, squatting, deadlifting) with quality and proper progression, we work every muscle in the body in the way it was designed through movement. All of this will develop a lean and toned body that is highly conditioned, strong, and powerful with the ability to handle anything.

The "Progressive" part of our program is what makes us different. While many programs focus on "doing the right form", we differ in knowing that poor form may be a physical barrier that cannot be corrected by just coaching for proper form.  Physical barriers limit our movement quality and must be removed in order to achieve a high level of performance. The "progressions" in our PFT program is a multi-disciplinary approach to movement training. Meaning we have combined concepts and exercises from many different training disciplines (examples: yoga, pilates, weight training) into a gradual progressive system. Our "progressions" are clinically proven to remove barriers while improving performance and reducing risk of injury.

Are You Functional?

Functional can be defined as: In good working order. Does that describe your body in relation to how it moves and performs, or do you have underlying physical barriers leading to limitations, pain, or injuries?

pictureWe utilize The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to test for and uncover physical barriers. Based on those results, our PFT program is implemented to clean up the movements and remove the barriers.

Private Training
One client and one trainer.

If you prefer a one on one training environment, then our private training sessions are the answer.  Depending on your goals and results from your movement screen, workouts range from complete restorative corrective training to advanced functional training. Our training is scalable for all ages from stay at home momes to weekend warriors.

Sessions are 55 minutes by appointment only.

Semi Private Training
Up to six clients and one trainer

Classes are limited to a maximum of five client per class, unlike most group fitness training programs.  This format ensures individualization and quality is not compromised. Every class utlizes our unique Progressive Fitness Training System to remove barriers and improve performance. Our training is scalable for all ages and levels.

Classes are 55 minutes by reservation only.

Screen & Clean Program
Get functional anywhere.

Whether you are a stay at home mom or weekend warrior our Screen & Clean program is specifically designed to help all people move better. The screen will identify any physical barriers limiting your fitness. The clean will eliminate those barriers, helping improve your fitness and can be done at any facility or even at home.
